— PLANTATION BARBADOS 2002 —
TROPICAL : ELEGANT AND EXOTIC
It is said that the first trace of rum distillation dates back to 1651 on the island of Barbados. The vintage Plantation is a perfect example of rum from the island, at once voluptuous, smooth and fruity.

Nose : Complex and delicate, it starts with nutmeg, vanilla, oak and citrus. Then it becomes more floral with honeysuckle and spicier with delicate notes of cinnamon and cloves.
Palate : Round and elegant, it follows the nose with more fruity profile on passion fruit. Then it evolves on butterscotch and Virginia tobacco. Long finish and quite dry on milk chocolate.
The label shows the Morgan Lewis mill, the last active sugar cane mill on the island. The trident found on the frieze is reminiscent of the flag of Barbados, a symbol of independence and a bright future.
